International Shipping and Delivery Policy

1. Overview

Kovite ships eligible products internationally from the United States to selected destinations, including Canada, the United Kingdom, European Union countries, Israel, Australia, and other countries where shipping is available.

International shipping involves additional requirements, including customs clearance, import duties, taxes, local regulations, carrier handling charges, and possible product restrictions.

By placing an international order, customers acknowledge that international shipments may be subject to these requirements.

This policy applies to orders shipped outside the United States. Domestic orders are governed by our separate Shipping and Delivery Policy.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

2. International Shipping Destinations

Kovite ships to eligible international destinations shown during checkout.

Shipping availability may vary depending on:

  • Destination country or territory
  • Carrier availability
  • Product type and ingredients
  • Import restrictions
  • Customs regulations
  • Shipment value, weight, and dimensions
  • Local delivery limitations

The availability of a shipping option at checkout does not guarantee that every product is legally permitted for import into the destination country.

Kovite may decline or cancel an order if we identify a legal restriction, carrier limitation, or other issue preventing lawful fulfillment.

If we cancel an order before shipment, we will refund the applicable amount paid.

3. Order Processing

International orders are generally processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.

Business days generally mean Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays and days when our fulfillment operations are closed.

Processing may include order verification, inventory confirmation, product preparation, packaging, and preparation of customs documentation.

Additional processing time may be required for certain international orders due to destination-specific requirements or shipment verification.

4. International Delivery Times

International delivery estimates vary by destination, carrier, customs processing, and the shipping method selected at checkout.

Estimated delivery dates or transit times may be provided during checkout or through the carrier.

Unless expressly guaranteed, delivery estimates are approximate and do not include unexpected customs delays.

International shipments may take longer because of customs inspections, local delivery conditions, holidays, weather, transportation disruptions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If we become aware of a significant delay, we will make reasonable efforts to assist and provide available updates.

Where mandatory consumer law establishes delivery deadlines or remedies for non-delivery, those rights remain unaffected.

5. International Shipping Charges

International shipping costs are calculated and displayed during checkout.

Shipping charges may depend on:

  • Destination country
  • Package weight and dimensions
  • Shipping method
  • Carrier
  • Shipment value
  • Applicable promotions
  • Special handling requirements

The shipping fee paid to Kovite generally covers the transportation service selected at checkout.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, international shipping charges do not include import duties, customs taxes, brokerage fees, or other destination-country import charges.

6. Customs Duties, Import Taxes, and Fees

International orders may be subject to additional charges imposed by the destination country or by customs brokers and delivery carriers.

These charges may include:

  • Customs duties
  • Import taxes
  • Value-added tax (VAT)
  • Goods and services tax (GST)
  • Customs clearance fees
  • Brokerage fees
  • Carrier advancement or disbursement fees
  • Import processing fees
  • Other government or carrier charges

Unless checkout expressly states that duties and taxes are prepaid or included, the customer is responsible for applicable destination-country import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, brokerage charges, and related import expenses.

These charges are separate from the product price and shipping fee paid to Kovite.

Kovite does not control the amounts charged by customs authorities, brokers, or carriers.

Import charges may vary depending on the destination, product classification, declared value, origin, and local regulations.

Customers should consult their local customs authority for information about potential import charges before placing an order.

7. Duties Paid Versus Duties Unpaid Shipments

Unless otherwise specified during checkout or in the shipping terms provided for an order, international shipments are generally sent under arrangements where the recipient is responsible for destination-country import charges, commonly referred to as Delivered at Place (DAP).

Under this arrangement, the customer may be required to pay import duties, taxes, and clearance charges before the shipment can be released or delivered.

If Kovite expressly offers a duties-and-taxes-paid shipping option, the applicable charges and responsibilities will be described at checkout.

If there is a conflict between this general policy and an expressly stated shipping arrangement accepted at checkout, the specific checkout arrangement will control, subject to applicable law.

8. Customs Clearance

All international shipments may be inspected or reviewed by customs authorities.

Customs officials may request:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Identification
  • Import permits
  • Product information
  • Additional declarations
  • Payment of duties and taxes
  • Other documents required by local law

Customers may need to cooperate with the carrier, customs broker, or relevant authority to complete customs clearance.

Customers should respond promptly to legitimate customs requests.

Kovite will provide reasonably available shipment documentation and assistance where appropriate.

Customs clearance decisions and processing times are controlled by the relevant authorities and cannot be guaranteed by Kovite.

9. Import Restrictions on Vitamins and Supplements

Kovite sells vitamins, nutritional supplements, and wellness products.

Some countries restrict or prohibit the importation of certain supplements, ingredients, formulations, quantities, or product categories.

A product that is lawful to sell in the United States may not be permitted for import into another country.

Import restrictions may involve:

  • Ingredient restrictions
  • Dosage limits
  • Product registration requirements
  • Prescription requirements
  • Personal-use quantity limits
  • Labeling requirements
  • Import licenses or permits
  • Other health or regulatory requirements

Customers are responsible for reviewing destination-country import requirements that apply to their purchases, except to the extent applicable law places those obligations on Kovite.

Kovite may cancel an order if we identify a restriction before shipment.

If customs authorities detain or reject a shipment, we will review the circumstances, available documentation, and applicable law before determining the appropriate remedy.

Nothing in this policy transfers to the customer a legal responsibility that applicable law places on Kovite as the seller, exporter, or importer of record.

10. Customer Contact Information and Import Documentation

Customers must provide accurate and complete shipping and contact information, including:

  • Full recipient name
  • Complete delivery address
  • Postal code
  • Country
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Any additional information legally required for import or delivery

Certain destinations may require additional recipient identification or customs documentation.

If required information is missing or incorrect, the shipment may be delayed, returned, or rejected.

Customers should promptly respond to legitimate requests from customs authorities or delivery carriers.

11. Customs Delays and Holds

International shipments may be delayed or held by customs for inspection, verification, documentation, or payment.

A customs hold does not necessarily mean that a package is lost.

If a shipment is delayed, customers should review tracking information and respond to any carrier or customs notices.

Kovite will make reasonable efforts to assist with available shipment information.

We cannot guarantee the timing or outcome of customs clearance.

If a shipment is not delivered within a period required by applicable consumer law, the customer's statutory remedies remain available.

12. Refused International Deliveries

If a customer refuses an international delivery for reasons unrelated to a product defect, incorrect shipment, failure by Kovite to meet its obligations, or an applicable statutory cancellation right, the carrier may return, hold, abandon, or dispose of the package.

A refusal may result in additional charges, including:

  • Return shipping fees
  • Customs processing fees
  • Brokerage fees
  • Storage fees
  • Carrier handling charges
  • Duties or taxes assessed on the shipment
  • Disposal or abandonment charges

For a voluntary refusal not covered by mandatory consumer rights, Kovite may deduct reasonable, documented, and legally recoverable charges from any otherwise available refund.

Refusing a package does not automatically cancel the order or guarantee a full refund.

Customers wishing to cancel an order should contact info@kovite.com rather than relying solely on refusal of delivery.

Where a customer has a statutory right to cancel, return, or obtain a refund, Kovite will honor that right and will not impose deductions prohibited by applicable law.

13. Unclaimed Packages

An international shipment may be classified as unclaimed if the recipient does not:

  • Pay required import duties or taxes
  • Provide required customs documentation
  • Respond to carrier notices
  • Arrange delivery or collection
  • Collect a package from a designated pickup location
  • Complete other required recipient-controlled import or delivery steps

An unclaimed shipment may be returned to the sender, placed in storage, abandoned, or disposed of by the carrier or customs authority.

For unclaimed shipments caused by customer-controlled circumstances, additional carrier and customs charges may apply.

Any refund will depend on the circumstances, the condition and recoverability of the merchandise, the applicable shipping arrangement, and mandatory consumer law.

Customers should contact Kovite promptly if they experience difficulties with customs clearance or delivery.

14. Packages Returned to Sender

If an international package is returned to Kovite, we will review the reason for return.

Possible reasons include:

  • Refused delivery
  • Unpaid duties or taxes
  • Incomplete customs documentation
  • Incorrect address
  • Failed delivery attempts
  • Import restrictions
  • Carrier limitations
  • Customs rejection

Where a return results from a voluntary refusal or another customer-controlled issue, we may deduct reasonable, documented, legally recoverable return costs and other permitted charges from an otherwise available refund.

If the returned merchandise is eligible for resale and the customer is entitled to a voluntary refund under our Refund and Return Policy, we will process that refund according to the applicable terms.

If the return results from an error by Kovite, a product defect, or another circumstance for which Kovite is legally responsible, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law.

International return shipments may take additional time to reach our facility.

15. Customs Seizure, Confiscation, or Destruction

In some circumstances, customs authorities or carriers may seize, confiscate, reject, abandon, or destroy an international shipment.

This may occur because of:

  • Prohibited or restricted ingredients
  • Missing or insufficient import documentation
  • Unpaid customs charges
  • Failure to complete customs clearance
  • Import quantity restrictions
  • Recipient inaction
  • Applicable government regulations
  • Other lawful customs or carrier actions

A shipment that is seized, destroyed, or abandoned does not automatically qualify for a refund, nor does it automatically eliminate the customer's refund rights.

If a shipment is seized, confiscated, or destroyed, Kovite will investigate the circumstances where reasonably possible.

For shipments lost through customer-controlled refusal, failure to provide legally required recipient information, or failure to pay import charges properly assigned to the customer, a voluntary refund may be unavailable if the goods cannot be recovered.

However, Kovite will provide a refund, replacement, or other remedy where required by applicable law, including where the loss results from our error, an unlawful shipment, inadequate seller-provided documentation, or a failure to meet our legal obligations.

Any proposed deduction for carrier, customs, return, storage, or destruction costs must be lawful, reasonable, and appropriately supported.

Customers should contact us with relevant customs or carrier notices so that we can review the matter.

16. Customs Charges Paid by Kovite

In certain situations, a carrier or customs broker may charge Kovite for duties, taxes, return transportation, storage, or other expenses associated with an international shipment.

If such charges arise from customer-controlled circumstances and are legally recoverable from the customer, Kovite may seek reimbursement or make a permitted deduction from an otherwise available refund.

We will not charge customers amounts that applicable law requires Kovite to bear.

We will not impose duplicate charges for amounts already collected at checkout.

17. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses

Customers should carefully verify their international shipping addresses before placing an order.

If you discover an error, contact info@kovite.com immediately.

We will attempt to correct the address before shipment, but changes cannot be guaranteed after dispatch.

If a shipment is returned, delayed, or otherwise affected by an incorrect address supplied by the customer, reasonable additional charges may apply where permitted by law.

If the issue results from Kovite's error, we will provide an appropriate remedy.

18. Lost or Missing International Shipments

If your shipment has not arrived, please review the tracking information and contact us at info@kovite.com.

We may initiate or assist with a carrier investigation.

If a shipment is confirmed lost or not delivered, we will determine the appropriate remedy based on the circumstances and applicable law.

Where Kovite bears responsibility for delivery under applicable consumer law, we will provide a refund, replacement, or other legally required remedy.

A carrier's tracking status does not, by itself, determine the customer's legal rights.

19. Damaged International Shipments

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If a product arrives damaged, leaking, broken, or with compromised safety seals, contact us as soon as reasonably possible and, where practicable, within 7 calendar days after delivery.

Email info@kovite.com with your order number, a description of the problem, and photographs where available.

Please retain the product and packaging until we provide instructions.

The recommended seven-day reporting period helps us investigate but does not limit any statutory rights.

Do not consume supplements with damaged or compromised safety seals.

Eligible claims will be handled under our Refund and Return Policy and applicable law.

20. International Returns and Refunds

Kovite offers a voluntary 30-day return policy for eligible unopened products, subject to our Refund and Return Policy.

International customers should contact us before returning merchandise.

For voluntary change-of-mind returns, customers generally bear return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

Original shipping charges, import duties, taxes, and other fees may not be refundable by Kovite except where required by law.

Customers seeking reimbursement of import duties or taxes may need to apply directly to the relevant customs authority.

Statutory cancellation rights, including applicable rights in the European Union and United Kingdom, remain unaffected.

For complete details, please refer to our Refund and Return Policy.

21. European Union and United Kingdom Customers

Customers in the European Union, European Economic Area, and United Kingdom may have mandatory rights concerning delivery, cancellation, defective goods, and refunds.

Where applicable, these rights take precedence over conflicting provisions of this policy.

In particular, customers will not be denied legally required remedies solely because a shipment is delayed, refused, held, or destroyed if Kovite remains legally responsible under applicable law.

Any applicable statutory cancellation periods and refund requirements will be honored.

22. Canadian Customers

Canadian customers may be subject to customs duties, GST/HST, provincial taxes, brokerage fees, and other applicable import charges.

Additional consumer protection rights may apply under federal and provincial law, including in Quebec.

Where mandatory law provides greater protection, that law will prevail.

23. Israeli Customers

Shipments to Israel may be subject to customs clearance, import taxes, VAT, product restrictions, and requirements administered by relevant Israeli authorities.

Certain vitamins, supplements, or ingredients may be subject to additional restrictions or documentation requirements.

Customers should review applicable import requirements before ordering.

Mandatory rights under applicable Israeli consumer protection law remain unaffected.

24. Australian Customers

Shipments to Australia may be subject to customs processing, GST, duties, and restrictions applicable to certain vitamins, supplements, or ingredients.

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, customers retain all consumer guarantees and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

25. Other International Destinations

International customers in other countries may be subject to destination-specific import duties, taxes, customs procedures, and product restrictions.

Customers should review the applicable requirements before placing an order.

Where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, those laws take precedence over conflicting provisions of this policy.

26. Changes to This Policy

Kovite may update this International Shipping and Delivery Policy to reflect changes in shipping services, customs requirements, carrier arrangements, business practices, or applicable laws.

Updates will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.

Changes will not retroactively remove mandatory rights applicable to orders already placed.
